Banjo is just a good ol' boy who ended up at the wrong shelter. Overcrowded and underfunded, the best they could do for him was to send him to foster care and hope a rescue decided they wanted a broken old beagle. He wasn't neutered, had masses and skin tags all over, plus a very obvious hernia... but to top it all off, he had a massive infected wound under his arm. His foster did her best, but Banjo was in rough shape and that wound just would not heal. You may know already that GOT can always squeeze in a beagle, so you shouldn't be surprised to see this old fellow here.
This guy sure has had it rough, and for a long time it seems. But he's so happy to be inside, with regular meals and lots of love. He figured out the couch right away, and of course is friends with all the dogs and cats, and the human visitors too. He has been surprisingly good with house training and is always happy to howl at the door to be let in or out. We've scheduled surgery for his mushy teeth, mass removal, neuter, and wound suture (the hernia is odd looking but our vet does not feel that it is safe or necessary to repair it). Now all we need for him is a real home where he'll be loved forever! Banjo will be an easy addition to your family, and he'll be forever grateful to the lucky folks who take him home!
