BREED: Pit Bull Mix
ADOPTION FEE: $200
Some dogs come to us from terrible situations, and their time spent at the shelter and in foster care is the best time they've ever had. This is not the case for Daisy: she had a loving home and a dad to take care of her and her sister. When he got sick, he had no one to help care for his dogs, and he surrendered them to the crowded shelter. Sadly he would not live to see his girls make it out safely. On their very last day, hours before their scheduled euthanasia, Daisy's sister was adopted and Daisy made her journey to us from NC.
Daisy is understandably nervous but is doing well despite having her whole life upended. She is house trained, quiet, and friendly meeting new people. She has done well with dogs but should have time to decompress before doing proper introductions. Daisy should not be placed in a home with cats. We know that there are many pit bulls to choose from in many shelters everywhere, but we are hoping that our sweet Daisy catches someone's eye so that she can go back to living the life she deserves.
