Lucky came to us when his owner went into the hospital with terminal cancer. He was living in the house alone with just two breaks a day, and didn't have any other options for a real home. His owner's family reached out to us and we were very happy to help, since blind old beagles happen to be our specialty!
Although he was a little overwhelmed in his new foster home, Lucky settled in quickly and has even made a few friends. He loves cats but also does well with dogs of all sizes, and is great meeting new people. He is doing well with housetraining but needs to be reminded to take potty breaks outside. Currently he is not being crated when home alone and has done well unsupervised. He has a good energy and is fine to lounge around or have an adventure, and he's great meeting new people.
Lucky is diabetic and needs insulin injections twice a day, as well as thyroid pills. He takes both without any trouble.
This poor guy has been through so much- he was the only companion for his best friend and doesn't understand why he can't see him anymore. Please consider making Lucky part of a real family once again.
