Mr. Breakfast

NAME: Mr. Breakfast
BREED: Pit Bull/Mystery Mix
WEIGHT: 50lbs

When we saw Mr. Breakfast on Facebook, we were drawn to more than just his goofy name. The toothless grin, chewed-up ears, crusty cataract eyes... this is just our kind of guy. We asked for a cat and a dog test from the shelter, got the green light on both, and got Mr. Breakfast the heck out of South Carolina.

In foster care, Mr. Breakfast has been an absolute gem. He ignores the cats, plays with (and gets chomped by) the dogs, and loves all the people who come to visit him. He is house trained for #2s, crate trained, and relatively quiet. We keep him in belly bands round the clock to combat his marking, which is likely a habit at this point but could possibly be corrected with a neuter. We're still working with our vet to see if this is an option for him, as he is heartworm positive. Mr. Breakfast uses his remaining molars to chew bones and toys, enjoys spending time in the fenced yard, and rides well in the car. We keep walks to a minimum because of his heartworm, but he does like to go for short jaunts to explore the neighborhood.

Mr. Breakfast will need a patient and dedicated adopter to help him live his best life: GOT will pay for heartworm treatments at our vet, or reimburse our cost at a different clinic. We will send a large supply of belly bands, as well as Mr. B's current medications (right now it's eye meds and Lasix for a cough). What this guy really is looking for is someone who can be compassionate as he adjusts to life indoors, who doesn't mind doing laundry, and who can appreciate this wonderful dog because he deserves the whole world. If you can't adopt at this time, please consider sharing or donating to help us cover the cost of Mr. Breakfast's care!
