NAME: Kratos
BREED: DSH
BIRTHDAY: October 2022
ADOPTION FEE: $100
You may know by now that our senior rescue often takes in kittens- they're easy to squeeze in and get adopted quickly, and really we're just happy to help anyone we can. So when a shelter partner asked us to take a little family in risk of euthanasia, we set up the extra bathroom and dug the extra toys out of storage. We figured these friendly and lovely young babies would get snatched up before they outgrew their little space, but very bad upper respiratory illnesses followed by a ringworm outbreak delayed their adoptions. Now this family is healthy and cleared for adoption! We have three kittens and their mom, so we will be adopting them out in pairs. Mommy Zelda is still just a baby herself and would love to have one of her babies to help her adjust in her new home.
Kratos is a purr machine and an absolute wild child. He is friendly and fearless, often escaping from the bathroom to run among the adult cats upstairs. He is very happy to jump on his foster mom's back, claws out for balance, to show affection or get to higher ground. Despite being snuggly and sweet, Kratos will not be a good fit for small or sensitive children: he is just too rough and rowdy. In the pictures, you can tell him apart from his twin Peach by his angry eye markings. And yes, that's him swinging from the bathrobe... he climbs it often.
Zelda and her female kittens Peach and Lara Croft have appointments for spays, rabies vaccines, and microchipping on February 23rd. Their adopters will need to either take them directly to their appointment at the Adams County PA SPCA at 8am, or bring them back to their foster home in Hanover the night before surgery. They have all had their first round of distemper shots and we will provide the boosters if their adopters are comfortable administering vaccines. (Kratos, Zelda's boy kitten, will also have an appointment or will be neutered before adoption.) These veterinary services will be paid for by the rescue.
